Mission of the Role: As the Program Manager - Pursuits for one of our automotive partners, you will be at the forefront of driving excellence in responding to customer RFQs (Request for Quotes). Your mission is to partner with the Sales and Product organizations to solicit and win new business opportunities. You will lead and inspire a dynamic team, fostering an environment of collaboration, innovation, and professional growth. Key Objectives of this Role: Create Timing Plans: Develop baseline detailed timing plans to align with cross functional team input, and ensure all project milestones are met. Develop Quote Timelines: Establish and maintain quote timelines to ensure timely and accurate responses to customer requests. Complete EQI: Execute EQI tasks to ensure engineering estimates and quotes are accurate and on time. Coordinate Development of TDR Material: Oversee the creation and distribution of Technical Design Review (TDR) materials. Quote Strategy: Work with Sales to develop and implement quote strategies that align with customer requirements and company goals. Quote Input Filters: Establish filters to ensure accurate and relevant quote inputs. Quote Team Setup: Partner with Sales to set up and lead quote teams. Present Gates 0 & 1: Support Gate 0 & 1 reviews to stakeholders. Complete Gate 0 & 1 VPDS Tasks: Lead quote team to ensure Gate 0 & 1 tasks are completed on time. Lead Technical and Industrialization Quote Meetings: Set up and host multiple technical and industrialization quote meetings. Obtain Requirements: Ensure technical team gathers customer requirements and direct technical and manufacturing teams on quote parameters. Support Compliance Matrix Completion: Ensure appropriate team members develop compliance matrices to ensure all requirements are met. Create DAFM: Ensure appropriate team members develop Design for Manufacturing (DAFM) guidelines. Create Technical Quote Assumptions: Gather technical quote assumptions to guide the quoting process. Provide Feedback on Q&A: Create and provide feedback on Q&A from customers. Filter BOM Inputs: Filter Bill of Materials (BOM) inputs from other swimlanes. Follow Up Engagement Strategy: Work with Sales to develop and implement follow-up engagement strategies with customers. Key Performance Indicators: Quote Accuracy | Measure the accuracy of quotes provided to customers, ensuring they align with actual costs and project requirements. Quote Timeliness | Track the percentage of quotes delivered on or before the established timelines. Cost Management | Monitor the ability to meet or exceed program budget targets, including cost-effective solutions and resource allocation. Technical Quote Assumptions Accuracy | Assess the accuracy of technical quote assumptions and their alignment with project outcomes. Leadership & Collaboration | Establish and maintain strong internal and external relationships, ensuring effective communication and alignment with all stakeholders. Key Year One Deliverables: Enhance Customer Engagement | Develop and execute follow-up engagement strategies with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders. Establish a Robust Quoting Process | Create detailed timing plans and quote timelines to manage and track all RFQ responses. Achieve High RFQ Win Rate | Partner with Sales and Product organizations to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities. Achieve Cost Management Targets | Collaborate closely with engineering teams to implement VAVE initiatives that enhance product value and reduce costs. Qualification, Experience and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Engineering) is preferred. 8+ years of experience in program management within the automotive industry, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex programs from inception to launch. Strong leadership and team-building abilities, with experience managing cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels. In-depth understanding of automotive product development processes, including VAVE, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Demonstrated experience in managing budgets, financial forecasting, and achieving profitability targets. Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, with a strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience in building and maintaining strong customer relationships, with a commitment to customer satisfaction and quality. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
