For one of our clients we're looking for a Sr. HSEQ Officer. As the Sr. HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality) Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the implementation, monitoring, and improvement of the company's HSEQ policies and standards. You will work closely with different teams to maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and quality regulations, both at work sites and external locations. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field (HBO level or equivalent) Knowledge of HSEQ management systems and relevant international standards Minimum of 5 years of management-level experience with international standards related to mining, construction, contracting, or heavy equipment industries Strong understanding of organizational regulations and specific HSEQ department protocols Experience with heavy equipment and the ability to enforce HSEQ standards Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, monitor procedures, and ensure deadlines are met Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch Proactive, decisive, and able to delegate tasks effectively Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to motivate and guide teams What will you be doing The Sr. HSEQ Officer is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and improving the company's HSEQ policies and systems while ensuring compliance with national and international health, safety, and environmental regulations. This role involves conducting regular inspections and audits, leading HSEQ initiatives, training staff, and collaborating with departments to address HSEQ-related issues and drive continuous improvement. The coordinator also manages the HSEQ team, reports to senior management, contributes to strategic decision-making, and serves as the primary contact for all HSEQ matters. Additionally, they participate in meetings, monitor performance metrics, and ensure administrative and operational duties are completed effectively.
