Academic Advisor
Empire State University is hiring multiple Academic Advisors to join a fast-paced, rapidly growing online university built around access and support for our primarily adult learners. Most of the students you’ll work with are transfer students seeking degree completion and/or more advanced degrees. As part of an experienced, student-centered advising team, you’ll help students move toward their academic, professional, and personal goals with confidence. Your work will span a range of advising activities: reviewing students’ goals, transcript reviews, and course recommendations in alignment with program requirements, cultivating relationships with assigned students, referring students to appropriate university resources, integrating career service resources, helping students build academic degree programs that align with their stated goals and supporting incoming students. Because we’re growing quickly, we’re looking for advisors who bring strong collaboration skills, a growth mindset, and real creativity, along with a steady commitment to best practices, to help shape what student support looks like here. If you want to be part of a leading online university committed to student access and success, we’d love to hear from you.
