Job Description
Are you passionate about early childhood development and helping families thrive? The Talk With Your Baby (TWYB) Parent Educator plays a vital role in empowering parents and caregivers with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to support their child’s growth during the most important years of development.

TWYB is a collaborative, community-based initiative that uses research-backed strategies and curriculum to help families understand the powerful role they play in their child’s cognitive, language, and social-emotional development. Through engaging classes, meaningful conversations, and family-centered events, the program encourages parents to build strong connections with their children through everyday interactions and communication.

As a Parent Educator, you will lead educational workshops, coordinate family engagement activities, and serve as a trusted resource for parents seeking to create enriching learning environments at home. Your work will help families understand how simple, intentional conversations with young children can build vocabulary, strengthen relationships, and lay the foundation for lifelong learning and success.

What You’ll Do

• Facilitate engaging parent education classes using research-based curriculum and best practices in early childhood development.
• Plan and coordinate family-centered events that foster learning, connection, and community engagement.
• Build supportive relationships with parents and caregivers, encouraging participation and ongoing learning.
• Educate families on the critical role communication and interaction play in a child’s language, literacy, cognitive, and social-emotional development.
• Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders to advance the mission and reach of the TWYB program.
• Create welcoming and inclusive learning experiences that empower families from diverse backgrounds.

This is a 2 year Limited Term position

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a Master’s degree preferred
• 3-5 years of relevant education, social service, or higher education experience
• Experience working with educators, young children, or parents.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work with people from a diversity of classes, races, educational backgrounds, ethnicities, and native languages.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Bilingual Preferred

Additional Information
Salary: Up to $65,000
