Teacher: Drafting – Chapter 74 – Worcester Technical High School 2025-2026 Full Time NEW

POSITION:DRAFTING– CHAPTER 74 VOCATIONAL ED. PROGRAM GRADES 9-12

REPORTS TO: BUILDING PRINCIPAL

ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE:
This position is accountable for teaching and supervision of students in Drafting state frameworks and curriculum disciplines under the direction of the department head.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (to be included along with other responsibilities)
1.Responsible for the development and implementation of departmental curriculum objectives and competencies.
2.Responsible for the integration of the department’s curriculum where appropriate.
3.Responsible for assuring equal educational opportunity to all individuals regardless of race, color, gender, age, religion, national origin, gender identity, marital status, sexual orientation, disability or homelessness.
4.Performance of other job-related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Massachusetts teacher’s approval (Chapter 74) in the Drafting Vocational Technical program or ability to achieve in one year from hire.
2. Associate’s Degree or higher in related field
3. SEI Endorsement
4. Four years of recent full-time experience in drafting or related field
5. Evidence of mastery of a wide variety of teacher competencies and the understanding of instructional techniques.
6. Strong knowledge of computer applications (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, etc.).
7. Evidence of good human relations skills
8. OSHA certified

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Demonstrated experience supporting students with special needs
2.Ability to speak Albanian, Arabic, Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese or an African Language
3.Demonstrated experience with second language acquisition
4.SEI Endorsement

WORK YEAR: 184 Days

SALARY: Salary scale shown is based on the candidate holding a Bachelor’s Degree. Potential to increase based on degree level
